Alexandra-Maria-Lara
Alexandra Maria Lara is a Romanian-German actress on television and film best known for her performances in movies such as Downfall Youth Without Youth Control and Rush. Alexandra Maria Lara was born as the only son of Romanian film actor Valentin Platareanu. In her early teens she portrayed the lead part in a variety of television dramas. Her critically acclaimed performance in the television film Der Tunnel paved way for many other noteworthy roles, including the role of the secretary of Adolf Hitler Traudl Junge in the commercially and critically profitable Oscar nominated historical war drama film Downfall. The Reader is another Oscar nominated film featuring this divas. Over the years Alexandra was involved in numerous noteworthy national and international projects. One of these is the British biographical film Control, the Greek movie The Dust of Time, and the French historical mini-series Napoleon. In addition, she is an official jury member for each of the Transylvania International Film Festival and Cannes Film Festival.
